Born in Ottawa and raised in Haiti, Chef Octave Leconte is the Executive Chef at Exit Lounge in Ottawa, Canada. Inspired by his grandmother, a baker who raised her family through her craft, Octave began cooking at eighteen and has since opened and consulted for several restaurants, including three of his own. He has cooked for celebrities and public figures, competed in three culinary competitions, winning one, and appeared on two television shows. His philosophy, Creatively Rooted Fusion, celebrates heritage while pushing creativity forward — crafting dishes that connect culture, story, and the unexpected.
